Dave started his electrical career as an apprentice in 1999 and was shortly thereafter recruited to Royal. Dave has never looked back. From Journeyman, to Foreman; Project Manager to Operations Manager and now Vice President of Construction, Dave has used his technical skills and leadership to achieve success for his clients and the team around him. He has earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike for his ability to deliver high-quality results.

Dave’s project experience has included both hard-bid and design-build for K-12 and higher education projects, industrial plants and facilities, performing arts theaters, airfields, federal installations and private development.  He believes in working closely with Royal’s Chief Estimator, Paul Austin, to design successful outcomes for clients and their projects from the estimate phase to the closeout of construction.  He is a true collaborator with our customers, helping to design solutions that improve schedule, cost and ultimate functionality of the project to meet the client’s needs.

As Vice President of Construction, Dave will continue to lead with integrity, passion, and a focus on driving excellence across all construction operations throughout our commercial and multi-family markets. He will play a key role in the company’s future growth and will continue exude devotion and passion for our people, partners, and clients, and is dedicated to going the extra mile to achieve success. Dave has volunteered as a judge for the SRBX Education Foundation Design-Build competition between local high schools, judging entries on electrical criteria and coaching future builders. He’s a fan of the Seattle Seahawks, and enjoys hunting, fishing, and riding his adventure motorcycle when he isn’t spending time with his family.
